International team in a meeting

For companies with international subsidiaries

Seven countries, five systems, one monthly report in Excel. How do you run your group when the figures only arrive on the 15th?

ivato connects headquarters and subsidiaries without every country having to change its ERP. Group reporting at the push of a button, shared processes, knowledge in every national language and management across time zones. For owner-managed companies that have grown internationally and now want to work as one group.

Your day-to-day

Do you recognise these sentences from headquarters and subsidiaries?

Companies that have grown internationally often have subsidiaries that were acquired or founded and bring their own systems, processes and habits. Headquarters collects figures, chases them by phone and often only knows something when it is too late. That can change without standardising everything.

The pattern behind it: Every country works on its own, but the group only works through people who collect data, translate it and chase it by phone.

Today

Collecting, checking and converting Excel templates

Every company fills in the reporting template from its own system. Controlling collects, chases, converts exchange rates and has the group figures in the middle of the following month.

With ivato

Group reporting automatic

  • Export from every local ERP, without changing systems
  • Account mapping, currency conversion and plausibility check
  • Cockpit with comments per country

What changes

Figures early in the month

Management and advisory board steer with current figures, controlling analyses instead of collecting.

The descriptions show typical processes. We discuss the concrete effects for your group in the initial call.

Systems & countries

Does every subsidiary have to switch to a shared ERP?

No. A group-wide ERP project often takes years and ties up your best people. We leave in place the local systems that suit accounting, taxes and local requirements, and connect them. Headquarters gets uniform figures and processes, the countries keep working in their familiar environment.

Your systems stay

  • Connection of local ERP and accounting systems via interfaces or exports
  • Uniform account and key figure mapping for the group
  • Roles and permissions per country and company
  • Interfaces and assistants in the languages of your locations
GDPRThird countries

May data from subsidiaries outside the EU flow into the group, and vice versa?

Personal data may only be transferred from the EU to third countries with suitable safeguards, for example on the basis of an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses. Local data protection laws also apply, for example in China. We plan data flows so that reporting needs as little personal data as possible, and agree the rest with your data protection officer.

Frequently asked questions

What managing directors and CFOs of international mid-sized companies want to know beforehand

Your question is not here? In the initial conversation we take 30 minutes for your specific topic.

No. We make sure the figures from the companies reach headquarters quickly, uniformly and checked, for management reporting and as a clean basis for consolidation and closing. Statutory consolidation and the audit stay with your systems and your auditor.

By making sure they benefit too: fewer Excel templates, fewer queries from headquarters, their own reports. We involve the countries early, train in the local language and leave local specifics in place where they make sense.

Common European languages as well as English and Chinese are well covered by today's AI models. We agree technical terms with you in a glossary, and translations of important documents are checked before approval.

A large part runs remotely across time zones. Where it helps, for example at the start in a plant, we come on site.

Funding programmes are usually aimed at the applying company in Germany and its place of business. Services for foreign companies are generally not eligible for funding. We check case by case which part of the project qualifies. As of: 10/2026.

A very good one, in fact. A new location that starts with shared processes and connected systems from the beginning costs less than a later changeover. For the market entry itself there is our Go Global offer.
